Huanhu East Road

The highway around Qinghai Lake is divided into four routes, namely east, South, West and North, with a total length of 349 km. The east road starts from Xihai town and ends at the fork of national highway 109 Qinghai Lake fishing ground, with a total length of 56 km. Xihai Town, where it started, was China's first nuclear weapon research and development base. This little-known and mysterious forbidden area gave birth to the first atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb of new China.
