Yongsheng township is under the jurisdiction of Shuangcheng District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. It is located in the northwest of the District, adjacent to the Songhua River in the north, across the river from Zhaodong City, and adjacent to the suburbs of Harbin City in the East. The township government is 35 kilometers away from the city.

In November 2014, with the approval of Heilongjiang provincial government, Yongsheng township was officially removed from the township and renamed Yongsheng Town.

brief introduction

Yongsheng township (now called Yongsheng Town, the same below) is located in the northwest of Shuangcheng District, Harbin City, with jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages. The town government is located in Yongle Village, 35 kilometers away from the urban area. The East and west branch canals of Youyi canal pass through Shuangcheng Jianxiang highway. Yongsheng township is close to the Songhua River in the north, most of which are flat land, and a small part of which are hills and alkaline depressions. The total area of the township is 107.7 square kilometers, with 77400 mu of arable land. The main crops are corn, soybean, sorghum, wheat, flax, sugar beet, etc. Township run industries are agricultural machinery repair, rice processing and brick factory.

Historical evolution

During the war of liberation, Yongsheng district was changed into 12 districts. In 1970, Yongsheng commune was set up by the two communes of Linjiang and Taiping. In 1984, it was changed into Yongsheng township. By the end of 1985, it had an area of 107.7 square kilometers, a total of 3829 households and 18995 people. It had jurisdiction over 14 village committees, 28 natural villages and stationed in dachejiawopu. In 1996, with an area of 148 square kilometers and a population of 16000, it has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages of Yongle, Lexiang, Jianxiang, Yongsheng, Yongsheng, Yongxing, Taining, Yongfeng, Yongqiang, Yonghong, Xingye, Shengqiang, Shengzhi and Yongchun. In 2000, the population of the township was 17030. in November 2014, with the approval of Heilongjiang provincial government, Yongsheng township was abolished and Yongsheng Town was established, with the former administrative region of Yongsheng township as the administrative region of Yongsheng Town.
