Tea house Temple
Chafang temple, also known as Bao'an temple, was built at the northern foot of Jiaozi mountain, ten kilometers southwest of Zhongning County in the Tang Dynasty. It was a post station along the ancient Silk Road and a place and distribution center for foreign traders to trade medlar in Zhongning.
It is said that Emperor Kangxi paid a private visit to Ningxia. When he came to jiaozi mountain, he fell out of his sedan chair in front of a small temple at the foot of the mountain and drank tea in the shed where he sold tea. When waiting for tea, a bodyguard made a mistake and called out the word "emperor" in public. Old man Li, who sells tea, is afraid that if the emperor is not well treated, he will cheat the emperor. As a result, he took a handful of Chinese wolfberry and put it in the tea. He also brought up the best oil cake and brown cake for the emperor and his party to taste. The emperor had never seen the red fruit tea before. He took a mouthful of it and cheered repeatedly. He ate a mouthful of oil cake and brown cake, which was very sweet.
After returning to the Imperial Palace, Kangxi never forgot Zhongning red fruit tea and oil cake roll brown cake, so he sent Dong to build the temple for Li Laohan for more than 100 liang of silver, and personally gave the plaque of Cha Cha Fang, so the temple got its name. Red fruit tea and oil cake roll brown cake, as the traditional folk food of tea shop temple fair, have been handed down till now.
