Mitoyan is located in yixiaotai, the hillside of zuofeng, Qingyuan mountain, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. In 1364, an imitation wooden stone chamber was built on the stone wall, with a width of 5.6 meters and the inscription "Amitabha" on the forehead. Landscape overview

Mitoyan is one of the main scenic spots in the artistic conception area of "you Gu fan Yin" in Qingyuan mountain scenic spot. In May 1961, it was announced as a key cultural relics protection unit in Fujian Province.

Historical accumulation

After crossing qianshouyan, we can walk along the ancient road to the gate of mitoyan mountain through the "Zhenyi Pavilion". The gate post is engraved with a pair of couplets written by Zhang ruitu, a calligrapher of the Ming Dynasty: "every time you look at the tranquil waves, you can stop when you watch the pastry". It can be seen that this is a good place to look up and enjoy the wine. Entering the mountain gate, you can hear the sound of Mituo waterfall in the air. You can see the waterfall flying down from the cliff, rolling up thousands of piles of snow and splashing down thousands of beads. On both sides of the cliffs, there are inscriptions of "Xixin", "qingruxu", "quankuguanbao" and other ancient cultural poets. They are personally on the scene, and they are worldly.

There are two different tree species, Chongyang tree and banyan tree. The roots of the two trees are in a circle, and the tree bodies are embracing each other. The trees are intertwined like glue. After more than 300 years, they are like a pair of faithful lovers, attracting many young and old people to take photos under the tree. There is also a fruit tree, LianWu, which came from Taiwan 200 years ago. It is said that it was brought back from Taiwan by the general Shi Lang, the Marquis of Jinghai in the Qing Dynasty. It is still full of vitality and bears fruit every year. Many Taiwan compatriots who visit relatives feel very cordial when they see this tree.

Architectural form

The wood like stone structure chamber of mitoyan was built in 1364, the 24th year of emperor Shundi Zhizheng of Yuan Dynasty. The stone statue of Amitabha Buddha in the room is carved from the natural cliff. It is 5.77 meters high and 2.5 meters wide. It has a bun on its head, a lotus on its foot, a flat chest on its left hand and a drooping right hand. It is dignified, generous, kind and kind. The architectural features and Buddha costumes of the stone chamber provide important material materials for the study of Yuan Dynasty architecture and Buddhist stone carving art in the south of Chujiang river. The inscription on the right side of the stone chamber in the 24th year of the reign of emperor Zhizheng of the Yuan Dynasty records: "the three dans and eight censors of Pingzhang did not use the constitution to make sun Sanbao donate money to Sakyamuni, and initiated to build a platform with stones to build a new hall, and then to carve the Buddha's appearance and paint gold.". There are 13 simplified Chinese characters in the 193 Yuan Dynasty stone inscriptions, which are rare in Yuan Dynasty stone inscriptions.

On the lower right platform of the stone chamber, the original ancient temple "mitoyan Temple" collapsed during the "Cultural Revolution". In 1997, the municipal government appropriated special funds and received warm donations from the broad masses of believers for the reconstruction. It was completed in November 1998. The main hall is a single eaves building. In the hall, Amitabha Buddha, Guanyin and Shizhi Bodhisattvas are worshipped and decorated with gold statues.

Tourism information

On the top of the rock room of Mituo, along the "Sutra of seeking Buddha", and under the steep stone wall, there is a stone inscription with the word "Buddha" written by Ma negative, the land governor of Fujian Province during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, which is known as "the first Buddha in Fujian sea"; the cliff inscription with the word "Baiguan" written by Huang Zhou, a famous calligrapher and painter in China, is even more brilliant and magnificent.

On the left side of the cliff in front of the stone chamber, there is a huge stone standing up and banyan trees climbing. The ancients engraved with stone carvings such as "yixiaotai" and "Yungu". People standing on it have a great sense of floating desire for immortality. Overlooking from afar, the Jinshui River is winding, the twin towers are flying in the air, and you can have a panoramic view of the ancient city.

From the midoyan walk to the lotus pond, you can enjoy the Tang Linyun's stone inscription of "Quan Shan Ming" on the cliff beside the pond. You can go through the lotus pond to the exquisite cliff pavilion built on the cliff. Out of the "cliff Pavilion", through the iron cable bridge, you can reach bixiaoyan.
