High heel Church

The high-heeled Wedding Church is a new scenic spot opened in March 2016. It is located in Budao town of yunjianan scenic spot. The building is 17 meters high and 11 meters wide, implying that the girl who unfortunately suffers from black foot disease in legend can not put on high-heeled shoes and embark on the road of marriage. Through faith, she can also step onto a new page of life.

Church background

Zhang Huaguan, the mayor of Jiayi County, said in an interview that behind the "high heel church" is a touching story about a girl with black foot disease. In the early days, black foot disease was prevalent in the coastal areas of Southern Yunnan and Jiayi. A young girl in Jiayi had her black foot disease worsened on the eve of her marriage. In order to save her life, she had to amputate her feet.

Zhang Huaguan pointed out that the young girl's marriage, which she had agreed to, disappeared with her feet amputated. All her life, she only knitted straw mats in the mustard seed church and lived alone.

Zhang Huaguan said that the "high-heeled church" has the meaning of turning poverty over and stepping out of happiness. Although the girl with black foot disease can't put on high-heeled shoes and embark on the road of marriage, she can live her own life again with the help of the church. Therefore, with the completion of the church, this step of happiness has been taken.

The significance of church

The Church of crystal high-heeled shoes is popular. It is as quiet and elegant as fairyland. A crystal clear blue high-heeled shoes church has been built in the Sea View Park of butao Town, Chiayi County, Taiwan, to commemorate a girl who was unfortunately amputated and could not walk on the red carpet in high-heeled shoes. Crystal high heels church is expected to open to the public before the Lunar New Year and become the latest popular wedding or wedding photo shooting venue in Taiwan.

Another argument is that the church design concept came from the coastal area of Taiwan where black foot disease was rampant in the past. There was a bride to be who was forced to amputate before marriage and could not wear high-heeled shoes, which was a lifelong regret. The glass high-heeled shoes were built to commemorate the bride who could not wear high-heeled shoes because of amputation.

According to the management office, the glass high-heeled church mainly integrates the meaning of Taiwan's traditional marriage culture, hoping that the church can become a holy land for love. In the past, a bride had to wear high-heeled shoes and break the tiles before she entered her husband's house, which meant that all the bad things in the past were like the tiles being crushed, and a good life began.

The 17 meter high church is composed of 1269 steel frames and more than 320 pieces of glass. It costs more than NT $23 million.
