Egret Island is a provincial forest park, a national 4A tourist attraction, a National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, a provincial tourist resort, a provincial forest park, a provincial sports tourism industry base, a provincial research and study travel base, and a cultural hotel of Anhui Egret Island. It is a designated restaurant for the meeting of the party and government organs in Anhui Province

It is located in subtropical monsoon climate and unique geographical type of Bailu Island Scenic Spot in Jianghuai watershed.

Introduction to Egret Island

Du Fu, the poet of Tang Dynasty, has a famous poem: "two Orioles are singing green willows, and a line of egrets are in the sky", which depicts a charming picture for us. If you want to witness the artistic conception of this poem, please come to the Egret Island International Ecotourism Zone (Egret island for short)!

Egret Island is located in shunshan Town, Laian County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, covering an area of 43000 mu, including 4000 mu of water surface and 90% of forest coverage. It is named after attracting tens of thousands of egrets to inhabit the island. Egret Island is a national 4A tourist attraction, a National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, a provincial tourist resort and a provincial forest park. It is also a provincial sports tourism industry base and a research and study travel base in Anhui Province. The island is located in the Yangtze Huaihe River watershed, with the unique geographical and climatic characteristics of North-South intersection, natural and man-made masterpiece, making the island one of the few wetland forest island in China. The natural resources of the island are unique, with mountains and rivers, lakes in the island, islands in the lake, winding paths leading to secluded lake, integrating dense forest, green mountains, green water and lake light. The environment is beautiful, the air is fresh, and the climate is pleasant. It is natural, quiet, beautiful, gentle, charming, simple and so on. The cultural resources are unique, and the core scenic spots are Lianzi mountain, Lianzi lake, shunge mountain, Lianzi lake Da'an temple and peacock temple have a long history, legendary stories, and profound culture, which complement the natural beauty of Egret Island.

The location advantage of the island is obvious. It's about 60 kilometers from Nanjing and only an hour and a half from Hefei. The network system of expressways is developed, and several lines of Beijing Shanghai or Ningxi high-speed railway, such as Nanjing station, Quanjiao station, Chuzhou station and Hefei Station, surround the surrounding areas. The transportation is convenient and the location is superior. It has good connectivity with the tourist attractions (spots) of the surrounding counties and cities, and the tourist resort market has strong attraction.

The development and construction of the island started in 2005 and was invested by Hong Kong tuanli Xingye (Group) Co., Ltd. in 2015. The tourism and vacation foundation has been built, which has the functions of tourism, fitness, sports, sightseeing, leisure, vacation, catering, conference, entertainment and so on. Egret villa, Biyun villa, Yulong villa, development base, Guanlu Pavilion, Yulong Island, lover Island, natural bathing place, forest soup pool, Wenhua Hotel, road, footpath, parking lot, network, communication, medical care, shopping and other infrastructure are sound; the five gardens of Begonia, Huahong, peach tree, Zhiying and rose have begun to take shape. Egret Island is building a new international eco-tourism resort integrating recreation, elegant play, wild play and health care.

Egret Island will be built into a national resort, an international well-known health care and elderly care base, and a well-known resort for migratory birds.
