Baba temple, also known as "jiuzhao Pavilion", is the holy land of Islam gadye sect Muslims and a rare Islamic building complex in China.

During the reign of Emperor Kangxi, Huazhe Abdallahi, a Muslim in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, died while teaching Islam in Langzhong, where he was buried and built a temple. Abdallahi's tomb is also the main building of the whole temple.

During the Eid al Fitr, the Eid al AdhA and the holy season, Muslims from Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia often come to worship.

Baba temple in Langzhong is the holy land of Islam gadye sect Muslims. It is located at the south foot of Panlong mountain in the Northeast suburb of Langzhong City. One of the famous mosques in China's Islamic world, also known as "jiuzhaoting", "Baoning Temple" and "Gongbei of Panlong mountain", is located in Panlong mountain near Langzhong, Sichuan Province. The temple has a certain religious origin. It used to be the cemetery of the famous Islamic leader and scholar Abdel donghira, where his followers built a series of buildings. Later, with the support of the government, it continued to expand, and gradually formed a building complex integrating Chinese traditional and Islamic architectural style, which is a compound building complex of temples and tombs. The temple covers an area of 13000 square meters. The main buildings are gate, screen wall, cemetery, lecture hall, guest room, stele Pavilion, Chapel, etc. The gate is of wood and stone structure, with plaques and many carving patterns on it; the screen wall is embossed, which is a famous art treasure; the main building of the mausoleum is composed of arch cave, Mausoleum gate, archway and jiuzhao Pavilion, in which dongxila's Gongbei is set; outside the mausoleum are lecture hall and Chapel. Some important inscriptions are preserved in the temple. Now, the mosque is still the main place for religious activities of Dagong beimenhuan, an important Islamic sect in China.

When you enter the temple gate, you can see the brick water mill wall built in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. It is about 10 meters long and 6 meters high. It has a Xieshan roof on the top and a brick imitation wooden bucket arch under the eaves. The wall is decorated with flowers, trees, bamboo chrysanthemums and landscape pavilions of relief, round carving, hollow carving and other techniques. It is a masterpiece. Although it has gone through more than 300 years of ups and downs, it is still intact.

The main hall is the main building in the temple, which is the tomb of Abdallahi. The tomb chamber is very special. The coffin is suspended above the well (spring) in the chamber. The top of the temple is a helmet shaped dome with four ridges, just like the sky. Doors and windows, walls and lintels are exquisitely carved and painted with gold. In the back of the hall is a flower hall with a painting hall. It is simple and clean in ancient times. There are many steles, plaques, calligraphy and paintings, most of which are paintings and calligraphy of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Surrounded by green trees inside and outside the temple, the ancient trees are towering, and the bamboo, cypress, Ying and GUI shade the temple in green. Every year, many Muslim people in Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and other places carry sheep to make pilgrimage. Baba Temple attracts tourists from all over the world with its elegant, exquisite and exquisite architectural art.

Historical evolution

In 1684, the 29th generation of Muhammad (Y ī), a native of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, came to Langzhong from Gansu and Shaanxi to preach. Ma Ziyun, commander in chief of Chuanbei town in Langzhong, settled him in the iron tower temple (north side of the east gate of the ancient city). This "man from the west" is ancient and vigorous, and looks like an immortal. He "has books of the three religions in his chest, but does not use the name of the article, and his art is excellent, but does not use the name of the skill". His speech is humorous, and he is good at riding and shooting, especially in poetry. He often visited Panlong mountain with Ma Ziyun. He saw that the south foot of the mountain was the first dragon vein of Panlong mountain, so he put the house (cemetery) in the pool. In March of the 28th year of Kangxi, abdorahi died. Qi Jingyi and Ma Ziyun, his high-ranking disciples, built "Gongbei" (tomb Pavilion) in the place where he divined before he died, drained and filled it with soil, and buried it in it. They named it "jiuzhao Pavilion", commonly known as Baba temple, covering an area of 20 mu and a construction area of 1800 square meters. The inner chamber is the tomb room of Shangren from the West. The top is like the sky. There are two gold plaques hanging. One of them is Prince dorobel's handwriting of "Qingxiu" written by the right emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and it is decorated with the golden seal of dragon kiss. In the room, there is a Baoding shaped hollowed out movable censer. It is more than two feet high and has fine carving. It is an art treasure.

The Mountain Gate of Baba temple is made of wood and stone, which is inscribed with "jiuzhao Pavilion" and "Zhenyi Huanzhen" gilded gate. On the west side of the entrance, there is a big screen wall made of water milled green bricks in Qianlong period, about 10 meters long and 8 meters high. The front of the screen wall is hollowed out to carve freehand landscape, and the back is ancient pine and bamboo with flowers. The samples of the works are Zhang Zao of Tang Dynasty and Tang Yin of Ming Dynasty. The strokes are meaningful and full of three-dimensional feeling. Zhaobi for xumizuo, five ridge top, flying rafters hollow, exquisite technology. Jiuzhaoting hall is a triple eaves helmet type four ridge top building, with a square outside and an octagonal caisson inside, which is the so-called "four bright and eight dark". The eaves, doors and windows, the lintel on the floor, carved with rare double-layer window pattern in China, gilt plated with color, and surrounded by dragon walls and brick walls, are solemn and solemn.

The main hall is a "bright four dark eight" structure with double eaves and multi corners, which is the cemetery of abdonrahi. According to the tombstone records in the temple: the Chinese philosopher Chen bodongrahi was born in Mecca, Arabia. In the 23rd year of Kangxi, he came to Langzhong with Ma Ziyun, the governor of Taizuo in northern Sichuan, to preach. In March of the 28th year of Kangxi, he died in Langzhong. Baba temple in Langzhong has become a holy land for Muslims in Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Sichuan and other places. Every year on March 25, Muslims from all over the country come here to attend the memorial ceremony. The main hall is divided into two rooms. The outer room is covered with brocade curtains, and the plaque is high. The inner room is the tomb room, with the top like the sky. There are two gold plaques hanging on it: one is Prince dorobel's handwriting of "Qingxiu", which is decorated with the golden seal of dragon kiss. In the room, there is a Baoding shaped hollowed out movable censer, which is more than 2 feet high. The stone is delicate and the carving is fine. It is a rare art treasure. In front of the hall is a complex, exquisitely carved and majestic wooden house. There is a plaque on the front of the archway, with the word "Yang Zhi" in the big book, which is the year of Daoguang Jiachen. In front of the main hall, there is a four column, three room, three floor style wooden house with complex structure and exquisite carving. The eaves teeth are high pecked, and the bucket arches are overlapped layer by layer. They are staggered and complicated, with no tenon and wedge. There is a plaque on the front of the archway, with the word "Yang Zhi" written on it. It is the first year of Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty. Between the front of the archway and the screen wall, there is a brick imitated wood structure hanging flower gate with hanging pillars and dense flower teeth. The carving is very exquisite. In the backyard of jiuzhao Pavilion, there are a stele Gallery, a flower hall, a room for worshiping the Lord, and a living room for pilgrims. In the hall, there is a plaque of "halal Liuguang" written by HA Panlong, the champion of Qianlong period, and famous calligraphers and painters such as Lu Ji and Lan Ying of Ming Dynasty and ink bamboo of Zheng Banqiao of Qing Dynasty. The back garden is a living room with a well Pavilion. Its water is clear and sweet. It is one of the nine wells of Panlong.

Treasure of zhensi

The plaque of "jiuzhao Pavilion" hanging on the Mountain Gate of Baba temple was inscribed by Ma Zhenguo, governor of Chuanbei road in the Qing Dynasty in 1765. It has been hanging in Baba temple for more than 240 years. The plaque is 55 cm wide, 135 cm high and 30 cm in diameter. It is a hollow carving with exquisite craftsmanship. There are several golden dragons in the plaque. It has high cultural relics and artistic value. It is known as "the treasure of zhensi" and belongs to the national second-class cultural relics. Unfortunately, it was stolen in the early morning of July 22, 2008. Fortunately, the gold plaque, which was stolen for 20 days, was finally returned to Zhao after painstaking efforts by the local police, which made the national cultural relics well preserved.
