Tashan scenic area is a tourist area with Tashan temple as the center, integrating human landscape and natural landscape. Tashan temple in the shade is beautiful, surrounded by large orchards, which fascinates visitors. There is a stone avalokitesvara of the Yuan Dynasty in the temple, which is highly worshipped by good men and women. In addition, there is also a Cultural Revolution Museum in the scenic area, which is the first museum in China dedicated to the cultural revolution, adding a unique temperament to the scenic area. The scenic area provides a number of outdoor development projects for tourists, including slideway, mountaineering, boating, horseback riding, picnics and so on. It is widely respected by young people and is also one of the first choices for Shantou people's holiday outings.

Tashan scenic spot

Tashan scenic spot is located in the southeast of Zhifu District, the central area of Yantai. Tashan is named after a pagoda built on its main peak in the early years. It carries Daishan in the East and Nanshan in the west, just like a natural green barrier to protect the prosperous urban area. There are also Tashan scenic spot in Fuxin City, Liaoning Province and Tashan scenic spot in Shantou City, Guangdong Province.

On October 8, 2019, Shandong Provincial Department of culture and tourism issued an announcement to lower the level of Tashan scenic spot in Yantai city.

Introduction

The main scenery of Tashan scenic spot is the Tashan temple in the center of the park: the ancient temple is surrounded by the natural landscape, forming a proper barrier with the urban scenery. Tourists can rowing, riding, recreation, picnics and other activities.

Tashan has beautiful natural scenery, strong religious and folk culture, and is close to the urban area with convenient transportation, so it has a unique advantage in the development of tourism. In 1993, Tashan group began to invest in the construction of Tashan scenic spot. The first phase of the project was completed and opened in that year. In 1999, the second phase expansion project was carried out with self raised funds. Tashan has become a large comprehensive tourist attraction integrating scenery browsing, competitive entertainment and religious activities.

Main attractions

The whole scenic area is divided into two parts: Taiping nunnery scenic area on the mountain and modern entertainment area at the foot of the mountain. The main scenic spots of Taiping nunnery scenic area include Taiping nunnery, Sanhe tower, Longwang hall, Taiping morning bell tower, Guanyin Pavilion, Guanyin peak, dragon vein, Yunshi Valley and other cultural and natural landscapes. Among them, Taiping temple and Sanhe pagoda have a history of more than 700 years,

The main hall of Taiping nunnery worships "Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism" in the same hall, which is extremely rare in China. The rebuilt Sanhe pagoda is 39 meters high, seven stories and eight sides, with simple and elegant shape, which is the second landmark of Yantai city. The whole Taiping nunnery scenic spot is pleasant, quiet and comfortable, with a strong religious and cultural atmosphere of mountains and forests. It can be said that "the mountains and green waters open the picture, and the Taiping nunnery realizes the secrets of heaven".

The entertainment area at the foot of the mountain includes: European style gate, sports hall, National Defense Education Hall, children's playground, tropical rainforest hall, crocodile hall, small animal village, central sculpture - "support", music fountain, Funeng slide, spectacle waterfall and other attractions.

Among them, the arena is the first large-scale professional arena in China, which can accommodate 2000 spectators at one time. There is a huge "crown hat" on the top of the pavilion, with a diameter of 12 meters and a height of 13 meters. It is the largest decorative "crown" in Asia at present. The competition hall has a professional performance team, which can perform exciting and traditional folk characteristics of the sheep fighting, chicken fighting, dog fighting and other animal competitive performances, as well as "Dragon Dance", "Lion Dance" and other large-scale performance programs.

The first tropical rain forest museum in Shandong Province, with an exhibition area of more than 1200 square meters, is planted with more than 300 kinds of rare tropical, subtropical and desert plants, showing the exotic wonderful scenery.

The children's playground is equipped with more than 10 items such as formula racing, pirate boats, and more than 30 kinds of entertainment facilities. It is not only a children's paradise, but also attracts many adults to linger on.

Qineng slide, known as "dry land sled", has a total length of 756 meters, including a 120 meter long lifting slide. Built in accordance with the mountain terrain, it gives people a feeling like a sleigh when sliding. Because the speed can be controlled freely, it is safe, convenient, comfortable, exciting and fresh, so it is a modern entertainment project suitable for all ages.

Spectacle waterfall is another unique landscape of Tashan scenic area. It is constructed and excavated according to the natural mountain and the water from the natural spring of Tashan. Surrounded by green trees and pleasant flowers, the clear and sweet Tashan spring is flowing down, which makes you really feel the wonder of "flying down 3000 feet, it is suspected that the Milky way is falling nine days". Therefore, it is also known as "Huangguoshu waterfall in Yantai".
