5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial Museum Popular Science Experience Hall

The 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial Hall is located in Renjiaping, adjacent to the earthquake site in the old county town of Beichuan, covering an area of 142300 square meters and a building area of 142800 square meters. The theme building is called "crack", which means that the disaster time will be fixed between the earth like lightning. It is an important part of "one museum and three places" for the reconstruction of Sichuan's spiritual home after the disaster. It is also the "three bases and one window" in the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake area, the national patriotism education base and the national red classic tourist attraction determined by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial Hall and earthquake science popularization experience hall have the functions of "commemoration, exhibition, education, publicity and scientific research", and will become a world-class earthquake disaster research base and a world-class earthquake science popularization education base.
