Tongguan Yellow River scenic spot is located at the edge of Tongguan ancient city, a famous ancient military pass. It is 140 kilometers away from Xi'an and only 20 kilometers away from Huashan Mountain. The Yellow River running southward runs through the gorge of Qin and Jin Dynasties. "The river comes out of Tongguan, and its water power is increasing due to Taihua resistance" (Mao Zedong language). Outside the ancient Tongguan City, it is compatible with the water flowing from west to east to Weihe River and Luohe River . The southern boundary of the scenic spot is the northern boundary of national highway 310 in Tongguan ancient city area. It starts from Jinpen overpass in the West and ends at the tidal flat in the county downstream of the Yellow River Highway Bridge in the East. It is about 10 kilometers in length from east to west along the river. The exploitable area of water shore and tidal flat oasis is 20 square kilometers. There are yellow river, Weihe River, Nuwa mausoleum, Tongguan ancient city and many ancient battlefield sites in the area.

Features of scenic spots

Tongguan Yellow River scenic spot has seven characteristics

First, it is the birthplace of the whole human being in the legend here. It is recorded in "shangxia5000 years" that "Nuwa created human beings by kneading the earth here"; and it is recorded in "shuijingzhu" and other books that "Nuwa mausoleum is on the Bank of the Yellow River about three li away from the east gate of Tongguan, and there is a Nuwa temple.". The emperor is the ancestor of the Chinese nation, while Nuwa is the ancestor of the whole human race, and is the gold lettered signboard of our county, Weinan City and even the whole Shaanxi Province

The second is "the first bend of the Yellow River in the world", that is, the only sharp bend less than 90 degrees on the Yellow River is outside the ancient city of Tongguan, forming a unique and spectacular "Yellow River tide"

The third is the spectacular confluence of the Yellow River and the Wei River. Because the Yellow River and the Wei River are blue, the Yellow River section after the confluence forms a rare spectacle of yellow and blue rivers

Tongguan Yellow River scenic spot is more enchanting and charming because it is a masterpiece of the ancients, such as "the Yellow River hanging in the North dragon" and "the Yellow River embracing chongguan". The thrilling drifting in the Yellow River waves, the Yellow River catfish soup famous in Qin, Jin and Henan, and the nearby ancient city of Tongguan, which was called "the first city in the world" by Emperor Kangxi, attracted many Chinese and foreign tourists to visit. At the same time, only a few hundred meters away from the Yellow River, there are verdant Fenghuang Mountain and Dongshan mountain for use. Current situation of scenic spots

At the beginning of 2000, our county established the Yellow River Scenic Area and scenic area management office, and officially began to attract foreign investment and development publicity. After more than two years of development, it has begun to take shape and is well-known both inside and outside the province. It has become a scenic spot integrating food, housing, tourism, shopping, entertainment and conference functions. Every year, more than 100000 tourists from both inside and outside the province and some foreign countries come to visit Weinan. Weinan has become the third largest tourist destination after Huashan and Qiachuan. The scenic facilities include: a Western Hotel, namely Venice Hotel, and a Chinese hotel, namely laobaijia hotel. The two hotels can have restaurant drinks, accommodation, conference reception, etc.; a 100 meter long Western River view corridor, a 50 meter long antique river view corridor; three large and medium-sized cruise ships, more than 10 small cruise ships and speedboats, a light tourist plane; and a small ostrich and Peacock Garden In April 2001, the upstream and downstream routes of the large cruise ship "Golden Triangle" were opened to receive tourists.
