Pengzhou library was founded in 1960 with a history of more than 40 years. After years of development, Pengzhou library has developed into a national first-class library with complete functions, perfect equipment and facilities, and large collection of books.

Introduction to architecture

After the "5.12" earthquake, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government attached great importance to the development of the library and listed the construction of the new library as a post disaster reconstruction project. In 2009, with the support of the central and local finance, the new Pengzhou library with a total investment of 1.86 million yuan was officially launched on April 23, 2011 and opened to the citizens of the whole city. The new Museum covers an area of 10 mu, with a total area of 4000 square meters. The new library has realized the transformation from traditional library to digital library. In addition to the original external service window, Pengzhou library website, electronic reading room, digital library, children's green Internet space, government information public inquiry point and other service windows have been added. There are 17 staff members in the library. The new library is open 365 days a year to serve readers every day. It strives to receive 100000 readers a year, and the circulation of books and periodicals will exceed 100000.
