Gonggan Zen master tower
Located in Jinzhuping, southwest of Guling, Lushan Mountain, Gonggan Buddhist pagoda was built in 1618, the 46th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty. It is the tomb tower of Gonggan Buddhist.
According to the records of Lushan annals, Zen master Gonggan founded Jiuqi temple in the seventh year of Wanli, after which Jiuqi Temple became more and more popular. After Gong Gan's death, his disciples built a tombstone for him. Gonggan Zen master tower is divided into three levels, which is composed of eight granite blocks, with a height of 3.5 meters and a base diameter of 1.3 meters. There is a hexagonal stone pier on the base, on which the round drum stone is supported by an inverted lotus, and the characters "Yuanji Zen monk Ding tower" are engraved on the stone. In front of the tower, there is a sacrificial terrace, and there are stone tablets on the left and right sides, whose handwriting is blurred. The guardrails around the sacrificial flat are well preserved.
