Feilongding

Feilongding is a famous Taoist temple in China. It is located in Gaocun Township, 18 kilometers north of Xingyang city. It is adjacent to the Yellow River in the north, Songyue in the south, hanba Erwang city in the East, Niukouyu and hulaoguan scenic spots in the West. Feilongding tourism area, with feilongding as the center, covers an area of about 8 square kilometers, with temple fair activities as the tourism hot spot.

history

It was built in the Ming Dynasty and flourished in the Qing Dynasty. It was once known as "the wonder of Zhongzhou" in history. The ancient architectural community in the area is magnificent, with beautiful peaks and elegant environment. It has always been a place where monks and folk tourists gather.

Main attractions

Before the "Cultural Revolution" was demolished, the ancient buildings on feilongding were mainly composed of four parts

1、 Zushidading, also known as zushiding and feilongjinding, is the most important building complex of feilongding. From bottom to top, from south to north, there are yitianmen, ertianmen, liuliyingbi, lelou, sandadian, Shouji Pavilion, Qingxu mansion, etc. Qingxu mansion is located on the highest hill on the north side of feilongding, which is the location of Jinding and also the best place of feilongding. It is built on an irregular platform with a height of more than 30 meters. It is a double eaves pavilion with nine ridges and veranda. It has three floors, namely upper, middle and lower. It is very magnificent. It was rebuilt in 1651. The three main halls, including zushi hall, Sanqing Hall (formerly known as Ziyun Palace) and Yuhuang hall, are one of the main buildings of feilongding, which was founded in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566). Among the three halls, the thirty-six generals in the ancestral hall and the thirty-six Shuai in the Jade Emperor hall are the most eye-catching.

2、 The East peak of Mount Tai, also known as Dongyue palace, is located on a small abrupt peak on the east side of Jinding, including two buildings, namely the Jade Emperor Temple and Bixia temple.

3、 Huashan Xiding, also known as Xiyue palace, is located on the high terrace on the west side of Jinding, with a building.

4、 Nanya Pavilion, also known as Nanyue palace or South Hall, was destroyed early.

Feilongding was founded in the Yongle period (1403-1424) of the Ming Dynasty. It was rebuilt and rebuilt on a large scale in succession in the Jiajing and Wanli periods (1573-1620) of the Ming Dynasty. In the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1661), it was expanded vigorously. It was not until the Tongzhi and Guangxu periods of the late Qing Dynasty that it was rebuilt and repaired that the next large-scale and magnificent building complex was finally formed and retained.

The buildings on feilongding include dozens of palaces and pavilions, most of which are decorated with glazed tiles and ridged beasts, and the beams and columns are decorated with colorful paintings. The layout of feilongding is exquisite and beautiful, and it takes care of each other. More than 200 statues and nearly 100 murals are preserved, with neat layout and elegant brushwork. In addition, there are more than 100 Ming and Qing steles. It is a rich cultural treasure house. Xi was completely demolished during the cultural revolution.
