Zhang Zuoxiang's former residence is located at No.4 Chongqing Road, Heping District, Tianjin. It is now used by Tianjin real estate development company, with a construction area of 1620 square meters.

Structural design

Second floor with attic, semi basement, brick and wood structure. There is a garden in front of the building. The facade of the building is white, the walls are concave and convex, inlaid with Western-style carvings, red tubular tiles, sloping roof, and there are bluestone steps on both sides of the building to enter the main hall. There are six rooms on the ground floor and a large living room on the south side of the center. There are exquisitely carved wallboards inside. There is a large platform in front of the hall. Other rooms are used as study rooms and reception rooms. Seven rooms on the second floor are bedrooms and toilets. The attic is a storage room. The basement is used for boiler room and servants.

Former residence owner

Zhang Zuoxiang (1881-1949), whose name is Fuchen, was born in Yixian County, Liaoning Province. He has successively served as a member of the Beiping branch of the Military Commission of the national government, a member of the central political conference, commander in chief of the second North China group army and commander in chief of the sixth corps, and a member of the Northeast Xingyuan Political Committee
