Lion Zen bell

The "lion Zen bell" was first refined in the fifth year of Yanyou (1318) of the Yuan Dynasty. It was made of ten thousand jin bronze collected by local temple monks in Tianmu Mountain. It is made of bronze, with a diameter at breast height of 1.8 meters, a height of 1.18 meters and a weight of 485 kg. In addition to doing Buddhist work, the "lion Zen bell" also serves as a time announcer for local people. In the 1950s and 1960s, the old clock, nearly a thousand years old, was smashed into scrap copper in the tide of "steel making for all" and put into the hot furnace of "steel making". Since then, the bell of Tianmu Mountain has been "silent" for half a century. The day before yesterday, "lion Zen bell" began to reappear the great sound of the past, resounding again in Tianmu Mountain.
