Wusong ancient fort is the front position of national hero Chen Huacheng leading his troops to fight against the British Invaders. In June 1842, the British fleet invaded Wusongkou. Chen Huacheng led his troops to attack Wusong Fort head-on, causing heavy damage to many enemy ships. Finally, he died because he was outnumbered.
Wusong ancient fort is a major scenic spot in Qingpu. Chen Huacheng, a national hero at that time, led his troops to fight against the British aggressors. It was a magnificent position. Although it was renovated because of its dilapidation, it still maintained its original appearance.
