Maohuaju

Maohua residence is located on the southwest Bank of moon marsh. The gate is a small garden, and the main hall gate is on the left side of the patio. The main hall beams and window sparrows are exquisitely carved, while the long table, the eight immortals table and the beauty armchair are still displayed. There is an ancient plaque of "maohuaju" hanging in the middle hall. On both sides is a couplet written by Liang Tongshu, a famous calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty and an official of the Imperial Academy: "filial piety is the only family style in the ages, and poetry is the foundation of a century's career." The plaque of "de Shao Jia Qu" is hung on the right side of the patio, and a cursive couplet of Zhang Zhao, a famous calligrapher and dramatist of the Qing Dynasty, is hung: "rise and fall, smoke and dew flow, colored pen, cloud and sun make clear windows." On the pillars hung a wooden couplet written by Xu Guanzheng: "kindness is the most precious treasure for all one's life, and one's heart is to cultivate good land for all generations." He Jin's Woodcut couplets: "cherish food and clothing, not only treasure wealth and fortune; seek fame and fortune, but also seek oneself and not others." This is an excellent place to enjoy the couplets of ancient Huizhou dwellings.
