Xingping ancient street

Xingping ancient street is a stone street more than one kilometer long. From the southeast of the ancient town to rongshutan of Lijiang River and gudu wharf, it is convenient for residents and merchants to come and go. The guild halls of various provinces are built on both sides of the ancient street, and most of the ancient buildings with various brick and tile structures are well preserved. Shizidan in the southeast of the ancient street is the site of Xiping County. The outline of the city wall is still clear, and fragments of ancient bricks and ceramics can be seen everywhere. It's just a prosperous county that used to "travel by cars and horses, and people can see people". Now it presents a quiet atmosphere of secluded hills and a few cottages. What's puzzling is that an ancient banyan tree, which is said to have been planted when the county was built, can only be hugged by eight people, is still luxuriant. Its roots actually swallow five Bodhisattvas and a large stone weighing about 20 tons into the tree, as if telling people the vicissitudes of the ancient town's history in the past 1730 years .
