Yaxidaxi lake is located 62 kilometers southeast of Luntai County. For thousands of years, the Tarim River has overflowed a large number of floods in the flood season, forming adjacent lakes in the desert, feeding a large area of Populus euphratica and Salix mandshurica. In spring, there are green trees and Populus euphratica in autumn. Occasionally, one or two Luobu people fish in the lake. It is a little-known and isolated "paradise".

According to the records of Luntai County annals, before liberation, the Tarim River was gradually cut off, and the Lop people living near Lop Nor and the Uygur people living in the lower reaches of the Tahe River moved to Caohu one after another. In this happy land, they opened up wasteland for farming and breeding. So far, there are two or three hundred families. They were engaged in farming, grazing, fishing and hunting. In 1950, the people's Government of Caohu township was established.

Caohu township is surrounded by Populus euphratica, red willow, river and Lake Harbor branches. The traffic information is very closed. For a long time, it relied on horse riding to deliver mail. After the reform and opening up, a simple highway was built. However, in case of flood invasion, it becomes an isolated island, so few outsiders ask for help. In recent years, some people occasionally go to take photos. When they talk about the beautiful scenery that "it's not the water town in the south of the Yangtze River, it's better than the water town in the south of the Yangtze River", it's very desirable.

Yaxida West Lake is a poem, a natural picture and a beautiful paradise. Walking on both sides of the lake, the water is rippling, the fish are dancing, the ducks are singing and the cormorants are flying. The ancient Tarim River moistens the Populus euphratica the year before last. It tears up your arrogance and penetrates your vanity. It is inhabited by the simple and ancient descendants of Luobu people, whose unique folk customs are called "Shangri La" by many visitors in the desert.

This magical water town was originally located in Caohu township of Luntai County, covering an area of 1900 square kilometers, 54 kilometers long from east to west and 40 kilometers wide from north to south. When you enter Caohu, you can see the scenery of "sunset and lone flocks flying together, autumn water growing the same color in the sky" and "the sky is grey, the wild is boundless, the wind blows, the grass is low, cattle and sheep" everywhere. It is a classic brand of desert Populus euphratica culture and the best eco-tourism resort.
