Chang'an square

Chang'an square is located at the intersection of the Second Ring Road, TIYU road and Changqing Road in the center of Chang'an Town, Dongguan City. It covers an area of 8 hectares and costs more than 40 million yuan. It was designed in 1997, started construction in August 1998 and put into use in the Spring Festival of 1999. The central square integrates western architectural style and Chinese garden architectural art. It is a large-scale municipal cultural facility in Chang'an Town, which can accommodate tens of thousands of people and provide a beautiful leisure place for more than 300000 people in the town.

Stepping up the steps from the north entrance, you can see a wide, flat square with an area of more than 20000 square meters. On the East and west sides of the square, there are two rows of 10 meter tall King coconut trees and two rows of thin banyan trees. The green trees are whirling, showing the southern style and adding momentum to the square. To the south, it is an open-air theater that can accommodate 2500 spectators. The exterior wall of the theater is a 100 meter long relief, which artistically reproduces the past history of Chang'an, the brilliant achievements after the reform and opening up, and shows a bright future.

Square introduction

The south entrance of the square is a bronze mirror door made of snowflake marble. A large bronze mirror hangs on the door, implying a fair, open, honest and clean administrative style of the Chang'an town government. Around the square, there are four leisure attractions, including Chunhua garden, Xiajing garden, Qiuyue garden and Dongjing garden, with pavilions and pavilions, winding paths, red flowers and green grass, and various ingenious fountains. The unpredictable lighting and elegant music make the whole square filled with an elegant, romantic and harmonious atmosphere. The most eye-catching is the giant "geomantic ball" in the center of the square, which is known as the largest in China. The big "geomantic ball" has a diameter of 1.8 meters, and the "geomantic ball" array composed of four small "geomantic balls" with a diameter of 1.2 meters. At night, the colorful lights make the music fountain shirt colorful, which makes people feel wonderful about the central square.
