Aixi Lake Wetland Park is the only typical urban natural wetland in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is located on the East Bank of Aixi Lake in high tech Development Zone, covering an area of more than 2500 mu. It starts from Chengdong 1st Road in the north, Beijing East Road in the south, Changdi road in the East and Aixi Lake East dike in the west, and is adjacent to Aixi Lake with an area of 4.5 square kilometers.
After the completion of the park, it will gradually connect with tianxiangyuan migratory bird park and become a passage for migratory birds in Poyang Lake. The water surface of 4.5 square kilometers of Aixi Lake, together with more than 2500 mu of land, will form a natural and three-dimensional Forest Wetland System and become another natural green lung in Nanchang after Meiling.
In 2009, the government will continue to improve the park facilities, plan every scenic spot, carefully Carve every scenic spot, and build a central square, golf driving range, Meteorological Science Park, forest museum and forest oxygen bar, so as to make it an ecological paradise for gulls and herons to fly together and a science popularization base for education and scientific research. After the completion of the project, it will be evergreen all the year round, with flowers all the year round, birds playing happily, and visitors will never forget to return.

The park started construction in September 2007. It has planted more than 50000 trees, more than 40000 bamboo poles, 600000 square meters of lawn, and more than 30 islands. It plans to plant more than 160 kinds of trees, and has planted more than 120 varieties, such as South sour jujube, Kulian tree, Chimonanthus praecox, Bauhinia, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, slash pine and small steel bamboo.

On June 24, 2020, at the migrant bird protection center of aixihu Wetland Park in Nanchang high tech Zone, baby Demoiselle Cranes, which just broke their shell and emerged less than one day, have stood firm and followed their mother for food. This is the first natural breeding baby of Demoiselle Crane in urban wetland of Jiangxi Province, and also the second generation of crane from Nanchang.
