Jinzhong reservoir is located in shicang Township, Xianyou County, Putian

It is the middle reaches of the coaxi River, a tributary of Dazhang River in Minjiang River, with a drainage area of 200 square kilometers, a dam height of 97.5 meters, a normal water level of 245 meters, and a total storage capacity of 106 million cubic meters. It is the second largest reservoir in our city and known as the "second water tank" of Putian. It is a large reservoir with multi-year regulation performance, integrating water supply and irrigation, providing 184 million cubic meters of industrial and agricultural production and domestic water annually, which can fundamentally solve the problems of irrigation water supply in many towns in the central and southern part of our county, and living and industrial water supply in the central urban area of Putian and the North Bank of Meizhou Bay.

Brief introduction of reservoir

Jinzhong water control project, known as "the second water tank in Putian", is the largest water control project since the reform and opening up in Fujian Province. It is the backbone water conservancy project for Putian City to implement the "north to South Water Diversion" project. It is also a key project in Fujian Province and Putian City. It started construction in March 2006, with a total investment of more than 600 million yuan. On April 28, 2010, Jinzhong water control project was officially impounded. Jinzhong water conservancy project is to store 218 million cubic meters of water in the upstream of Caoxi river for many years. Through the diversion tunnel, the water resources of Caoxi river will be transferred to the middle reaches of Xianshui River, a tributary of Mulan River, and then supplied to the south central part of Xianyou County and the North Bank of Meizhou Bay in the southeast coast of Putian City. The construction of the project can not only fundamentally solve the problem of irrigation water supply of 350000 mu in the southeast of Xianyou, but also effectively solve the problem of water shortage in the economic development of Meizhou Bay port. The water source of the water diversion supporting project of Jinzhong water control project is from the large Jinzhong reservoir and medium-sized Shuangxikou reservoir in the northern mountain area of Xianyou County, and the water is channeled to the southeast of Xianyou County, Chengxiang District, Licheng New District, southwest of Xiuyu district and the North Bank of Meizhou Bay. The main and branch pipes of the project are about 90 kilometers, with a total construction area of 4230 square meters and daily water supply of 363700 tons. After the construction of the project, it is conducive to give full play to the benefits of Jinzhong water control project and improve the water supply capacity of southeast coastal towns and life in Putian City. In particular, it will give full play to the benefits of Jinzhong water control project, effectively solve the drinking water safety problems of about 1.1 million people and local garrison in 11 towns along the pipeline, and play an important role in effectively improving people's livelihood, promoting the city's economic development, and accelerating the construction of Meizhou Bay port city.

Jinzhong hot spring

Using the hot spring resources of Houxi where Jinzhong reservoir is located, we will invest in the development and construction of hot spring hotels, hot spring leisure and recuperation centers, swimming pools, water parks and other leisure and entertainment projects.

Hot spring has the function of health care, which plays an irreplaceable role in modern life. The developed hot spring resources are located in the Caoxi where the reservoir of Jinzhong water control project is located, which is one of the main hot spring belts in Putian. At present, five hot springs have been drilled, and two hot springs with a depth of 100 meters, which are rare in Fujian Province, are found. The annual water temperature is above 85 ℃, and the reserves are very rich. The daily water yield can reach more than 2000 tons. The hot spring contains iron, zinc, calcium and other trace elements needed by the human body, which has the magical medical effect of prolonging life. It is a good place for leisure vacation, recuperation and fitness. At present, two hot springs are being drained to the outlet of diversion tunnel of Jinzhong reservoir, which is located near Jichuan bridge on the hillside of Jichuan village, shicang township. A total of 2.3km RTP pipes are laid, and the temperature of hot springs after diversion is 78 ℃ - 80 ℃.
