Wula Street Manchu Town

Wula Street Manchu Town (Wula street town for short) is located in Longtan District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, 30 kilometers north of Jilin City. Historical evolution

Wula Street Manchu town is one of the main birthplaces of Manchu. According to local historical records, Wula street was called "hongniluo" city in ancient times. It was in the Neolithic Age 5000 years ago that Sushen people, the ancestors of Manchu people, lived here. Wulajie town has a long history and many historical sites. It was once the location of the governor yamen (the Special Economic Zone responsible for paying tribute to local products) of Wula Department of Nuzhen in Haixi in Ming Dynasty and one of the three major tribute bases in Qing Dynasty. Five of the twelve emperors of the Qing Dynasty left traces of war, footprints and ink here.
