Each side of the tower is inlaid with three niches under the middle eaves, with fine carving. It contains sixty Buddhist relics and one Buddha tooth. Dingguang Buddha relic tower is a key cultural relic protection unit at the municipal level. The tower and the shrine in front of it were renovated in 1987.
