Wuzhou museum is 6 stories high and covers an area of 431 square meters. It has three exhibition halls and nearly 10000 cultural relics. The unearthed cultural relics from the Warring States period to the Ming and Qing Dynasties include bronzes, irons, jades, ceramics and bronzes. Most of them are unearthed from the Han and Jin Dynasties. The more precious ones are the pottery cauldron of fuminfang, the Western Han Dynasty kiln site, the Eastern Han Dynasty bronze ruler, the bronze case and the copper warehouse, the Western Jin Dynasty celadon chicken head pot, the Southern Dynasty celadon horse riding figurines, the Northern Song Dynasty Yuanfeng money casting workshop and the Ming and Guangxi King tomb.

Wuzhou museum is located in the new Wuzhou Museum on Zhushan mountain, with nearly 2000 square meters of exhibition hall to show the history and culture of our city for more than 2000 years. Compared with the 431 square meter old site on Dazhong Road, the history of Wuzhou stretches out from the cramped and crowded area. In the spacious and bright exhibition hall, the history of Wuzhou flows like the water of Xijiang River.

Development history

Wuzhou New Museum covers an area of 11000 square meters, with a total construction area of 8526 square meters and exhibition hall area of 1876 square meters. At the beginning of 2014, the Wuzhou historical and cultural exhibition with the theme of "Millennium Lingnan town and century Liangguang commercial port" was displayed in Zhushan New Museum of the Municipal Museum, attracting a large number of people to visit. At that time, many citizens made an appointment to go to Zhushan just to see how Wuzhou's millennium history was presented in a brand-new manner. On the first day of the lunar new year in 2014, the museum set a record of more than 3000 visitors and became a hot spot in Wuzhou during the Spring Festival holiday. In order to truly reproduce the course of our city from primitive ignorance to gradual development and prosperity, and comprehensively display the brilliance and achievements of our city in various historical periods, the historical and cultural theme exhibition of Wuzhou is composed of seven parts: "the wild Cangwu", "the capital of Lingnan", "a century old commercial port", "military fortress", "a large number of celebrities", "cultural relics collection" and "cultural relics donated by Li Jishen" There are detailed text materials, picture materials, physical objects, wax figures and computer images on display in each part, which vividly unfolds a picture of Wuzhou history and makes people roam around.

The unearthed cultural relics from the Warring States period to the Ming and Qing Dynasties include bronzes, irons, jades, ceramics and bronzes. Most of them are unearthed from the Han and Jin Dynasties. Function value

The rich cultural relics in Wuzhou reflect the long history of Wuzhou City and the political, economic, military, cultural conditions and people's activities in various periods. The tools of agricultural production, such as stone axes, stone shovels and so on, which were produced in Datang, Gaowang, Luoshan and Wuliang villages, were an important part of Chinese primitive culture and a witness of the primitive social productivity of Wuzhou at that time. Tombs of the western and Eastern Han Dynasties are widely distributed in Wuzhou, where a large number of precious cultural relics have been unearthed, such as animal model Ming ware, glazed pottery such as double ear jar and round foot bowl, bronze bowl, bronze ruler, bronze case, bronze lamp of feather man, etc., which fully proves that Wuzhou was the political, economic, cultural and traffic center of Jiaozhi nine counties in the Han Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty, Wuzhou's iron ware was well-known throughout the country. In the book "reply to the outside of the mountains" written by Guilin judge Zhou qufei at that time, it said: "iron, produced in Wuzhou, is like flowing water when it is melted, but if it is used to cast the ware, it will be several kinds of thin paper without any wear and tear. All the wares are light and durable. The iron work of the prefectures forges copper, and the iron is mixed with the iron. It is the most rigid and the most beautiful material in the world. " Judging from the bronze and iron wares unearthed in Wuzhou in the Northern Song Dynasty and before, their casting technology has reached a fairly high level. The site of yuanfengjian coin casting workshop in Northern Song Dynasty, discovered in Qianjian, a suburb of the city, is one of the six major coin casting workshops in Jiangnan in Northern Song Dynasty, covering an area of more than 20000 square meters. There are a lot of cultural relics unearthed in the site, such as crucible, pottery duct and a large number of "Chongning treasure", "Chongning Tongbao", "Yuanyou Tongbao", "Shengsong Yuanbao" and "Zhenghe Tongbao", which are important materials to study the financial situation of Song Dynasty. The discovery and clearance of yuanfengjian is of great significance to further study the foundry technology and the prosperity and development of politics, economy and culture of Wuzhou in Song Dynasty.
