Ma Yongshun memorial hall is located in Songtao street of Tieli Forestry Bureau, covering an area of 2207 square meters.

Construction background

Ma Yongshun is a hero of two times. Since the 1950s, he has been awarded the labor model of Heilongjiang Province and the whole country for many times, and his deeds have been selected into the textbooks of primary and secondary schools, which is a household name. After retirement, he won the national labor model, the national top ten green pacesetter, the national "May 1" labor medal and the honorary title of "global top 500" issued by the United Nations Environment Programme.

The photos and inscriptions of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Zhu Rongji, Li Ruihuan, Wen Jiabao and other leaders of the party and state receiving Ma Yongshun, as well as the speeches and precious materials praising Ma Yongshun on display in the memorial hall fully prove the care and affirmation of the party and state leaders for Ma Yongshun, an old forestry hero. Tieli forestry bureau is the hometown of Ma Yongshun, an old forestry hero. It's 120 kilometers away from Yichun City, and it's only 1 hour and 20 minutes by car. Through a large number of pictures, paintings, sculptures, books, and Ma Yongshun's relics, the Memorial Hall shows people the glorious image of Ma Yongshun, an old forestry hero, from a logging model to a silvicultural hero.

Construction history

After Ma Yongshun's death, the all China Federation of trade unions, the State Forestry Administration, the people's Government of Heilongjiang Province, Yichun Municipal Party committee and government strongly supported Tieli forestry bureau to build Ma Yongshun Memorial Hall.
