Jinmen Folk Culture Village

·At present, the most complete preserved ancient house style area in Jinmen, the residence of Wang people, was built in the 26th year of Guangxu reign of Qing Dynasty.

·It consists of 18 traditional two-way buildings in Southern Fujian, which are magnificent and tidy, and are a collection of Chinese traditional architectural art.

·It is divided into seven museums, including folk cultural relics museum, etiquette Museum, festival Museum, leisure Museum, martial arts museum, production Museum, etc., showing the local folk customs of Jinmen.

Jinmen Folk Culture Village

Located in Shanhou village, Jinmen folk culture village was built in the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It consists of 18 traditional Minnan two-way double drop buildings. The pattern is magnificent and neat. It is a collection of Chinese traditional architectural art.

The folk culture village displays the local folk customs of Jinmen in terms of cultural relics, etiquette, festivity, leisure, martial arts school, production and other units. There is also an ancient official residence where you can enjoy the beauty of carved beams and painted buildings incisively and vividly.

history

The folk culture village is built by the father and son of Wang Guozhen and Wang Jingxiang, who are overseas Chinese living in Japan. All the houses are traditional two-way buildings in Southern Fujian. Eighteen shuangluo ancient houses are in good order. The building materials used come from Zhangzhou, Quanzhou and even as far as Jiangxi. It took more than 20 years to complete the construction, presenting a neat and exquisite architectural style.

In 1979, it was named "Folk Culture Village". The exhibition hall includes six museums, including cultural relics, etiquette, festivity, leisure, martial arts, production and an ancient official residence. It is the most complete ancient house style area in Jinmen after planning and renovation. It is now operated and managed by the cultural and educational foundation of Jinmen folk culture village.

Self driving: take the East Road around the island from Shami to the back of the mountain, and then you can get there.

By bus:

You can take bus No.31 from Shami, houputou, houshuitou, Dongxiao, Jinsha, cemetery, Yangzhai, Yangzhai, East, Anlan, elementary school, Bishan, houbian, Shanhou.

Take the No.31 bus back to Shami.

Or take bus No.25 at Shanwai station -- Yingbin -- Nanxiong -- Xiazhuang -- Yangmingshan -- Queshan -- Pingdong -- Grand Stage -- Dongdian -- yangzhaidong -- Xiwu -- Dongheng -- xishanqian -- dongshanqian -- meirenshan -- Shanxi -- Shishan -- Shanhou.

Take the No.25 bus back to the mountain.

Traffic information: public transport:

Take bus No.20 at Shanwai station or bus No.31 at shamei station and get off at the folk culture village.

Self driving:

Drive from Shangyi airport to the outside of the mountain, then follow Huanghai Road to Queshan, then connect with Huandao East Road, and turn right to the back of the mountain after passing Yangzhai.
