Ground fissure of Tianjing Gorge

Located in Xinglong Town, 91 kilometers away from Fengjie County, Chongqing. The total length of the ground fissure is 14 km, which is divided into upper and lower sections. The upper section is about 8 km long from xiangxiangshan to Chigu trough in Xinglongchang. It is a hidden crack in the ground. The Tianjing gorge of Xiangxiang mountain in Xinglongchang can enter the bottom of the crack, with a traffic length of 3.5 km. The seam is 80-200 meters deep and 3-30 meters wide. The two walls of the seam are as steep as a knife. It is a typical "one line sky" canyon landscape. There is a sinkhole at the bottom of the crack, and there is water flow after the rainstorm. From Tiankeng to labyrinth gorge, the lower part is a 6 km long dark cave, which was discovered by British cave explorers in August 1994.

Introduction to scenic spots

In Fengjie County, a "sagu stream" flowing down from a high mountain valley at an altitude of about 2000 meters has not only dissolved into the deepest Tiankeng in China, but also cut out the longest ground fissure in China, which is called "Tianjing gorge ground fissure".

The gap between the two valleys is narrow and straight. From a distance, it looks like a deep gap split by a knife. Among the crevices, there are jagged rocks, steep rocks, waterfalls, smog and so on. Stone forest, peak forest, karst cave, depression, Tianshengqiao, luoshuijian, Blind Valley, funnel, shaft and so on, constitute a paradise like the world.

The ground fissure of Tianjing gorge, with a total length of 37 km, is composed of the broad valley terrain in the upper reaches, the canyon, water dissipation tunnel and ground fissure in the middle reaches, and the underground river in the lower reaches. It is a V-shaped opening in the northeast. The turning point is the entrance of the ground fissure. There are unique landscapes and rare animals and plants in the fissure.

The upper reaches of the gorge are open, with a maximum width of 100 to 500 meters. The narrower the gorge goes down, with a width of only 3 to 5 meters. The gap width of the last ten kilometers is less than 3 meters. The depth of the cliffs on both sides of the gap increases from the upper reaches to the lower reaches, from more than 4 meters to about 900 meters. The last 4 or 5 kilometers are unfathomable and there is no human trace.

The stone steps leading down to the ground fissure are steep and deep. On one side, you can enjoy the peculiar lithofacies, such as "Baixiang Tanquan", "fantianyin", "Hulu gorge", "Yanzi cave" and "Yinyang fissure". At the bottom of the crack, a dark black hole appeared on the side of the rock. The bottom of the hole led to the underground river. The top of the ground seam is only ten centimeters wide. Looking up from below, there is only a line of blue sky.

Facilities construction

In July 2014, the tourist reception center of Luojiaping ground fissure scenic spot in Xinglong town was put into use. The altitude of the scenic spot is more than 1200 meters, which is a good place to enjoy the cool and summer, with an average daily reception of more than 200 people. In the scenic spot, there is the world's longest Tianjing gorge crevice. The narrowest part is only 0.6 meters, and the deepest part is 900 meters. The "black eye", "elephant mountain", "stone Guanyin", "male and female frog", "general rock" and other scenic spots in the crevice are more mysterious and legendary, and it's like being in a paradise.
