Damei embraces snow mountain, also known as Goddess Peak. There is a lake at the back of Damei Yongshen mountain, called tsonawangmu lake. It is said that there is a big black Python in the lake. It is a man eating devil. There was once an eminent monk who wanted to kill the serpent. She chased it here from yangzhuoyongcuo. Dameiyong hid it in the lake and saved the serpent's life. From then on, the serpent stopped biting people and the area was peaceful.
