Panlongshan Forest Park is established on the basis of Heiyu forest farm in Licheng District of Jinan City. The park covers a total area of 539.7 hectares, 23 kilometers away from the urban area of Jinan, with convenient transportation, undulating mountains, rich vegetation, forest coverage rate of 98.5%, beautiful green peaks all year round.

Location context

Panlongshan Forest Park is located in the eastern suburb of Jinan. It straddles Caishi town and Ganggou town. It is 23 kilometers away from the urban area of Jinan. The total area of the park is 8095 mu, and the forest coverage rate is 98%. It has Optimus Prime, Foyin temple, tangdou spring, large-scale forest bathing beach and other scenic spots. Here are ten thousand flying flowers in spring, green mountains in summer, red leaves in autumn and snow in winter. The gurgling water takes away the fatigue of your journey. The natural oxygen bar is refreshing.

There are high mountains and deep valleys, rugged rocks, clear springs, ancient trees and other natural landscape. Here, you can also stay for a few days and climb mountains in the morning,

Myths and legends

In Panlongshan Park, there is a mountain named "dinghaishen needle", which is said to be the "dinghaishen needle iron" in journey to the West. Due to the fact that the dinghaishen needle is far away from the mountain, it suddenly comes out and plunges into the sky. It is clearly visible three kilometers away. It is also known as Optimus Prime. Today, it is a dense forest. In late autumn, the mountains are red and the forests are dyed. The scenery is pleasant.

Around the Dinghai God needle is the Sihai Dragon King temple built by the people for burning incense and praying. In addition, dalongtang, xiaolongtang and Shuanglong Village around Panlongshan provide strong evidence for this view.
