Saerhu scenic spot is located in the eastern suburb of Fushun, Liaoning Province, with a total area of 268 square hectares and eight scenic spots. Development history

Saerhu scenic spot, formerly known as Dahuofang Reservoir Scenic Spot, was changed into saerhu scenic spot in 1982. "Sarhu" is a Manchu, Chinese translation for "wooden cabinet", meaning that the mountain is dense forest, rich in products, inexhaustible.

Dahuofang reservoir was first built in 1954 and completed in 58. The dam is 1834 meters long and 49 meters high, with a total water surface area of 110 square kilometers and a total water storage capacity of 2.18 billion cubic meters. It was the second largest reservoir in China at that time. In addition to flood control, irrigation, power generation, aquaculture and other functions, the reservoir has become an important drinking water source for residents in Shenyang and Fushun, playing an important role in the development of national economy It plays an important role. In 1959, when Chairman Zhu De visited saerhu, he wrote a poem: "Dahuofang Reservoir comes from Changbai Mountain, people in Fushun mining area enjoy happiness for generations.". It is said that Xue Rengui, a famous general of the Tang Dynasty, buried a pot here to cook rice and camp for accommodation when he led his troops to the East. Later, a village named "Dahuofang village" was formed. When the dam was built, the dam site was selected in goufang village, so it was named Dahuofang reservoir. Because the water surface of the reservoir was long and narrow, the harbor was crisscross, and looked down from high altitude like a flying dragon, so Dahuofang reservoir was also called "Feilong Lake".

The total length of the reservoir is 25 km, the widest part is 4 km, and the narrowest part is 0.31 km. The average water depth is 12 meters, and the deepest part is 36 meters. The water quality of the reservoir reaches the second grade standard of the national surface water. The water quality is clear and can be directly drunk. The reservoir is rich in aquatic products. It is rich in more than 30 freshwater fish species, such as pangtou, carp, crucian carp, Wuchang fish, etc., of which the largest is more than 100 Jin.

Each tourist area has its own characteristics. More than 300000 Chinese and foreign tourists come here every year.
