Built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the Longtian pagoda stands on the Bank of Zhexi river at the head of Fengshan Village in the north of Wuyuan County. It is said that there were many fires in Fengshan village before the tower was built, so the villagers built the tower to suppress the God of fire, and named it Longtian. It is symmetrical with the name of Fengshan village, which means dragon and Phoenix are auspicious. Longtian pagoda is more than 30 meters high. It is a brick and stone structure with six sides and seven floors. The waist eaves protrude layer by layer, and the width decreases upward. Iron wind bells are suspended at the eaves of each floor. When the wind blows, the bells are clanking and pleasant. There are stairs in the tower, which can be viewed from the top. The pagoda is built near the stream. When the sun is bright and the moon is bright, the shadow of the pagoda stands upside down in the water, and the scenery is very spectacular.
