Dujiangyan museum is located in the gathering palace of Lidui Park, the core scenic spot of Dujiangyan, covering an area of 2300 square meters. The whole museum site is a regular rectangle. The museum is divided into five exhibition halls, which are raised to form a three-dimensional space, and the real scene representation is adopted.

Development history

After the earthquake, "at home" deputy director Fan tuoyu immediately launched the "emergency plan".

As the roof of the storehouse was seriously damaged, in order to prevent the cultural relics from being soaked by rain, fan tuoyu and several other comrades rushed into the seriously damaged storehouse under the dangerous situation of continuous aftershocks, and covered the safe containing national precious calligraphy and painting cultural relics with wooden boards and rainproof cloth, ensuring that the cultural relics in the museum were not damaged in the heavy rain of the following day and night.

In order to ensure the safety of more than 40000 cultural relics in the warehouse, Bian zaibin and fan tuoyu, two deputy directors, borrowed three umbrellas as as the anti earthquake duty shed, and used the emergency power supply to monitor the cultural relics warehouse after midnight. That night, it was raining heavily. Under the narrow umbrella, the four deputy directors and several staff members took turns to watch the cultural relics in the collection for 24 hours. A few comrades had a cold, cough and hoarse voice that night.

Li Zhiguo, Li Xia, Bian zaibin and other bureau leaders led all cadres and workers to pack the cultural relics in batches from the seriously damaged storehouse on the second floor, rescued 20114 cultural relics, and transferred them to Chengdu Museum and Jinsha Site Museum for storage with the support of Chengdu Museum and earthquake relief forces.

At the same time, fan tuoyu and Li Zhiguo, two deputy directors, each led a team to go deep into the grass-roots cultural management offices in the disaster area, crossed the collapse area several times, and basically completed the investigation of the world cultural heritage Qingchengshan Dujiangyan ancient buildings and grottoes temples, which provided a scientific basis for the decision-making of the national and provincial cultural relics authorities, and provided objective data for post disaster reconstruction.

In order to prepare for the construction of the "5.12 earthquake museum", the Bureau of cultural relics publicized and collected material materials. Deputy director Bian zaibin and others collected a number of cultural relics, and deputy director Li Xia, together with Chengdu volunteers, collected more than 3000 sets of objects and materials.

Zhang Xiu, Gan Qi and Wang Wei lost their husband or son in the earthquake. They endured their grief and returned to work after arranging for their relatives. Yan Ping's head was scratched by glass and sutured with 7 stitches. Du Xinli's hand was scratched and stained with pus. After bandaging, she returned to the unit to participate in the earthquake relief.

The earthquake relief work of Dujiangyan administration of cultural relics has been highly affirmed by leaders at all levels.
