Ciguang Pavilion

Ciguang Pavilion is the first important scenic spot to enter Huangshan, surrounded by peaks and elegant scenery. It used to be ciguang temple, which was called Zhusha temple in ancient times. It was first built in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. During the Wanli period, monk Pumen changed his name to Fahai Buddhist temple, which gradually became famous and was introduced into the palace. In the 38th year of Wanli, he granted the title of "Huguo ciguang Temple". It is now the entrance to Mount Huangshan and the entrance to Yuping cableway.

Ciguang Pavilion

Ciguang Pavilion, formerly known as Zhusha nunnery, was originally Fahai Temple. In the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566), xuanyang Taoist lived here with the title of "Buyun Pavilion". In the 34th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1606), the Pumen monk came here to change the Fahai Buddhist temple. Shenzong granted the title of "Huguo ciguang Temple", and the Empress Dowager bestowed Buddhist scriptures, statues, cassocks, sticks, bowls and so on, which was very popular for a time. It used to be the first of the Zen temples in Huizhou and Xuanzhou.

Ciguangge is located in the hot spring scenic spot of Huangshan Mountain in Anhui Province. It is located at the northern end of the hot spring. The road is 4km away from the hot spring, and the hiking trail is 1.5km away from the hot spring.

Overview of scenic spots

Jianjiang monk (Hongren), the founder of qingxin'an painting school, and Shi Tao, the master of traditional Chinese painting, once lived here. The temple was destroyed. There are still some buildings in the original site, which were built as hotels after the founding of the people's Republic of China. On the top of it, there is hansaling, and on the top of it, there is Miaozhi Pavilion. Behind Jinsha mountain is the horse Pavilion, on which you can see the big character of "horse peak on the cliffs:" horse in the East China Sea, climb up to see peace ".

In 1965, Dong Biwu wrote the title "ciguangge" in calligraphy. Surrounded by mountains, dense forests and bamboo trees, it is very quiet. It is a very important reception point for Huangshan hotel. There are qianseng stove, fayan spring and Piyun bridge. Now it is the Huangshan Museum. Huangshan Yuping cableway station was built nearby. 　　

Ciguangge is the starting point of mountain climbing or cableway in front of Huangshan scenic spot. It's also a ticket office.
