Xian'e Lake

Xian'e lake is located in Shangzhou City, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, 5 kilometers northwest of the upper reaches of Danjiang River, originally known as Xian'e river. In 1973, Erlongshan Reservoir was built, and the lake was filled with water. The lake is shaped like a "Ya", with a water area of more than 6000 mu and a water storage capacity of 81 million cubic meters. The lake is surrounded by steep cliffs and beautiful scenery, with xiane cliff and peach blossom on the river bank facing each other across the bank. There is an island in the lake, about 20 mu wide; there are mountains all around, undulating like a dragon, head high and facing the island, like four dragons playing with pearls, forming a unique landscape.

Development history

In 1973, the water conservancy builders built a dam under the "Xian'e River" and cut off the Danjiang River. The water level rose by tens of meters to form an artificial lake, called "Xian'e Lake". From the dam to the water return lines of the East and West rivers, each is more than 1000 meters long and 6000 mu wide. Fish are raised in the lake and boating on the lake.

Main attractions

There are many scenic spots in xiane Lake area, such as xiane cliff, Huzhong Island, Guandi temple and so on. As early as the Tang Dynasty, Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi and many other literati traveled thousands of miles here to recite poems, release boats and visit. Since then, this place has become a tourist attraction of the ancient capital Chang'an. The cliffs on both sides of the reservoir area are cut like knives, with steep peaks, jagged rocks, lush trees, gurgling streams and fragrant flowers. It has a kind of natural beauty of quietness and clearness. At the intersection of Banqiao River and Danjiang River, there are isolated peaks, which form a wonderful landscape of Erlong Xizhu. There are a group of ancient temples on the bank. Every year, the temple fair is held on the last three days of the first month, and three major operas (Qinqiang opera, Erhuang opera and Meihu Opera) are used to boost the festival, attracting pilgrims from Sichuan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and Hubei provinces to pay homage. Stone sheep, stone ox, stone frog and Golden Rooster report the dawn and stand on the Bank of the river; Queen Mother's dressing table and rouge box are left on the bank; Xian'e's wall cutting on Xian'e peak and peach blossom on the South Bank of Danjiang River are listed as "eight sceneries and ten views of Shangzhou".

Water around the mountain, circuitous bend, like two dragons lying on the plate, watching the sky pillow. In the center of the confluence of the two rivers, there is an isolated island with a width of about 20 mu. Peach trees are widely planted on the island. In March of fireworks, Orioles fly and grass grow, flowers bloom and thousands of trees grow, and the color dips into the spring stream. The surrounding four mountain systems are like giant dragons absorbing water from the central island. The mountains and rivers are reflected in each other. The wind blows the surface of the lake, and the dragon is about to fly. From the former "two dragon drama" to today's "four Dragon drama", the image is wonderful, it is difficult to express. Rainy and foggy days, misty clouds, golden autumn shadow, lake light reflection, like a "mirage", very spectacular.
