Wenchang Pavilion of Wulong Temple
Wenchang Pavilion of Wulong temple is located at the foot of Wulong mountain, Baihu village, Helou Township, Langzhong. It was built in Yuan Dynasty, covering an area of 4 Mu and a building area of 100 square meters. The single eaves Xieshan style roof covered by Miaowu cloth tube tiles has three wide surfaces and obvious side feet of eaves columns. Under the front eaves, six pavilions are laid to form double cantilevers: the first cantilevered melon seed arch is carved into wing shape, and the second cantilevered Chinese arch has inclined arches on the left and right, which is very unique.
Wenchang Pavilion of Wulong temple is made of thick materials, small beams and flat roofs. The materials of the four eaves columns are relatively large.
Architectural features
Wenchang Pavilion of Wulong temple, the whole building, not only has some architectural features in the Song Dynasty "building French", but also has obvious local characteristics. The "fork hand" materials are rare in the same period, and the "grass burden" and log rafters are kept between the left and right. The building is beautiful in shape and large in style, similar to the Wulong temple in Shanxi Province.
Cultural relics protection
Although the Wenchang Pavilion of Wulong temple only has the back hall, it is a rare Yuan Dynasty building. In June 2001, it was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.
