Morrison house, Ho Fu Tong Club, Tuen Mun

Ho Fook Tong Club is a former club of the Hong Kong Regional Council of the Chinese Christian Church. It is located in Siu Kang, Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong. The site used to be the school building of Hong Kong Dade College. Most of the buildings in the original site have been demolished and converted into residential buildings. Only the Morrison house is preserved because it is listed as a statutory historic site in Hong Kong.

Built in 1936, Morrison house is part of the Longjiang villa of CAI tingkai, a famous general in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression. From 1946 to 1949, the building was used as the school building of Hong Kong Dade College. In 1952, the Missionary Society of London (now the world Missionary Society) bought the place and used it as the hall of hope. In 1961, the missionary church gave it to the Hong Kong Council of the Chinese Christian Church as a retreat, and in the following year, he Fu Tang College of the Chinese Christian Church was built nearby. In 1999, the association intended to cooperate with the developers to transform the site into a residential building. In March 2003, the association formally applied to the buildings department for demolition. The Antiquities Advisory Committee believes that the Morrison building is of cultural value, so the government intervenes to discuss the land exchange. On March 26, 2004, Morrison house was officially listed as a statutory historic site in Hong Kong.

Morrison building has a unique architectural style, a combination of Chinese and Western: both the selection of Shanghai style Paidang, but also to decorative art architectural style built. Among them, the roof of the veranda is built with Chinese blue glazed tiles, and the four corners are decorated with Ruilong.
