Located in Shigu Road Primary School, 128 moling Road, Qinhuai District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, the children's print museum was established in 2013. It is the first children's print Museum in China, with nearly 300 excellent children's prints. In addition, the museum also uses a large number of words, photos, prints and scientific and technological means to connect the historical context of the development of traditional Chinese prints, contemporary prints and foreign prints.

Development history

Yu Duoci, principal of shigulu primary school, told reporters that since the 1980s, Printmaking Teaching was first introduced into the classroom of shigulu primary school, and the school has formed an indissoluble bond with children's printmaking. "Over the past 20 years, children have created thousands of children's prints, and children's prints have become one of the characteristics of the school." Zhang Guilin, President of China children's printmaking Research Association, told the reporter that printmaking is a combination of drawing and handwork. From conception to production, it is a comprehensive exercise for children to use both brain and hands. There are many kinds of engraving. Younger children can learn from paper engraving first, and then gradually learn woodcut engraving.

Most of the more than 200 works on display in the museum are by students from several primary schools in Nanjing and Xinbei, Taiwan. "We have established printmaking exchange relations with more than 20 primary schools across the country, including many primary schools in Xinbei City, Taiwan." Said Yuan Sai, vice principal of Shigu Road Primary School. It is reported that the children's print Museum of shigulu primary school is only open to students, parents and exchange schools. "If the public want to visit, they can contact the school in advance to make an appointment for the visit time."
