The ancient house was built in 1904 and is located at lot 917, Haiba village, Tsuen Wan. The owner Qiu Yuanzhang (1865-1937) was a scholar of Haiba village. As early as the 18th and 19th centuries, Hakkas built their villages here. The village and its vicinity have been developed into Dehua Street Park. The only ancient houses are made of rammed earth, green brick, green tile and fir, which are full of the characteristics of traditional rural architecture in southern China.
