Zhuo'er mountain

Qilian County, which has always been known as "Oriental Switzerland", is located 300 km northwest of Xining, near the edge of Qinghai Province, and beyond Qilian Mountain is Gansu Province. Zhuoer mountain is located 2km to the north of Qilian County, which is a place rarely visited by group tourists. It is most suitable for tourists who drive or charter a car to visit Xining - Qinghai Lake - Qilian Mountain - Zhangye (National Highway 227).

Zhuoer mountain, 4300m above sea level, belongs to Danxia landform. It is close to Babao River and faces niuxin mountain across the river. To enter Zhuoer mountain scenic spot, you need to take the CMB, because the altitude here is high, so it's very hard to climb. Zhuoer mountain is surrounded by the continuous Qilian Mountains. From June to August, the grassland is green, and the golden rape flowers are more hierarchical and magnificent than Menyuan.

Zhuo'er mountain

Zhuoer mountain scenic area project is located in Babao Town, Qilian County, Qinghai Province, close to Babao River, facing the Tibetan holy mountain amidongsuo (niuxin mountain) across the river.

Basic introduction

Zhuoer mountain belongs to Danxia landform, which is composed of red sandstone and conglomerate. In Tibetan, it is called "zongmuma glaze Ma", which means the beautiful empress Hongrun. Zhuoer mountain scenic area project is located in Babao Town, Qilian County, Qinghai Province, close to Babao River, facing the Tibetan holy mountain amidongsuo (niuxin mountain) across the river. Standing on the top of Zhuoer mountain, the view is extremely wide and there is no barrier around. On the opposite side of the mountain is niuxin mountain, which has a panoramic view of the four seasons. On the left and right sides are ladong gorge and baiyanggou scenic spots. On the back is the rolling Qilian Mountain. At the foot of the mountain, the surging Babao river is like a white hada around the county. Beautiful scenery everywhere, just like fairyland, makes people relaxed and happy.

It is said that Zhuoer mountain and amidongsuo (Niuxinshan), the town mountain of Qilian, are a pair of affectionate lovers, waiting silently on both sides of babaohe River to protect the mountains and waters of Qilian.

In January 2016, the National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of environmental protection planned to identify niuxin mountain Zhuoer mountain scenic spot in Qilian County, Haibei Prefecture, Qinghai Province as a national ecotourism demonstration area.

The highest altitude of the developed Zhuoer mountain scenic spot is 3100 meters.

Historical evolution

It is said that the reason why Qilian county has beautiful mountains and rivers, fat cattle and sheep, and rich products is that she is the queen from the Dragon Kingdom, because in the traditional Tibetan concept, the Dragon God is the master and symbol of wealth, guarding the secret wealth. It is said that Zong Muma was once a princess in the Dragon kingdom. A chance encounter made her fall in love with the mountain god, amidongsu, who was so brave and extraordinary that she was willing to offend the rules of heaven and had many conflicts. She married amidongsu as her concubine. Although the Dragon King couple firmly opposed their marriage, she still chose to stay in the world and face amidongsu across the river. Of course, she paid the price and became a stone mountain. Even so, she has no regrets, because she and her lover, amidongsu, have been accompanying and guarding the beautiful mountains, rivers and Wuhua of Qilian for life.

Zhuoer mountain is a scenic spot for many tourists to visit Qilian. It is a base for writers, poets and artists to sketch and collect wind. Zhuoer mountain is located on the North Bank of Babao river. The top of Zhuoer mountain is green and green, dotted with tall and green pines and cypresses from Qinghai Province. It faces amidongsu across the river.

Zhuoer has become a key tourist attraction in Qilian county. Its unique ecological environment and superior geographical location show the present life of Qilian county. Qilian is as beautiful and dazzling as Zhuoer mountain, and as tall and confident as the pine trees growing on it. June is the best time for tourism in Qinghai. The rape flowers in Qinghai open in this season. There are also large rape fields under Zhuoer mountain. When the rape flowers bloom, it's really beautiful. Every year, a large number of tourists visit Zhuoer mountain scenic area to see the rape flowers.
