Bangda town

Basu County, Changdu City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs towns and six administrative villages, including Bangda village, Suochi village, Kese village, tongni village, Gama village and zegu village.

It is located in the east of Basu County, Changdu City, Tibet. It is adjacent to Meiyu township of Zuogong County in the East, Jizhong Township in the north, Linka Township and Dongba township of Zuogong County in the south, and kawabaiqing Township in the West. The altitude of the town government is 4120 meters.

There are 6 608.3 hectares of forest land, 34 326 hectares of pasture land and 184.779 hectares of cultivated land in the town.

In the territory of Bangda grassland, there are yellow sheep, fox, red deer, fritillary hen, grass fox, marmot, otter, Swertia deer and other national first and second level protected animals.

There are Cordyceps, Anemarrhena, Fritillaria, Saussurea and other Tibetan medicinal materials. There are yellow fungus, white fungus and other wild natural fungi.

National Highway 214 and national highway 318 meet in Bangda town.

Bangda grassland is a good place to experience the life of herdsmen and enjoy the magnificent grassland.

In 1965, Bangda District of Zuogong county was under the jurisdiction of Basu county.

In 1988, Bangda district was transformed into Bangda township.

In April 1999, Bangda township was changed into Bangda town.

It is located in the east of Basu County, Changdu City, Tibet. The overall altitude is more than 4000 meters. The northern part of it belongs to Yuqu river system, a tributary of Nujiang River.

In winter, the wind speed is often more than 30 meters per second, and the temperature in winter and spring is often below minus 20 degrees Celsius. The air density is only 50% of the sea level.

It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral Township, mainly planting highland barley, winter wheat, Yuangen, rape, and animal husbandry mainly includes cattle, horses, sheep, donkeys, pigs, etc.

In 2017, the "short, flat and fast" project of Gama ecological orchard construction in tongni village of Bangda town in 2016 was implemented, with an investment of 6.996 million yuan.

In 2006, a 10kW Micro Hydropower Station was built in Gama village and tongni village of Bangda Town, with a total investment of 180000 yuan.

In 2011, the reconstruction and expansion project of Bangda town health center was completed.

In 2016, Bangda town of Basu County implemented the 2015 cadre turnover housing project.

Spiritual civilization construction

On July 1, 2017, Bangda town primary school held a singing competition of "childlike innocence to the party, red songs loud and clear" and a comparative picture exhibition of old and new Tibet.

72 turns of Nujiang River

Nujiang 72 turn, also known as 99 road turn, is located in gamagou, Gama village, Bangda town. It is a section of Sichuan Tibet highway from yelashan pass to Nujiang Canyon. It is about 12 kilometers long. It is a mountain road with both danger and beauty. Almost all the first passers-by will stop a little when they reach the commanding height of the road.
