Taipei Municipal Library

Taipei municipal library established four libraries, namely, Songshan, Chengbei, Guting, and Chengxi, from the 19th to the 36th year of the Republic of China. In the 41st year of the Republic of China, the four libraries were merged into "Taipei Municipal Library" in accordance with the "organizational rules for municipal libraries in Taiwan Province". In 1956, with the restructuring of Taipei City and the comprehensive development of urban construction, our library gained a lot of help and greatly improved its business. Up to now, in addition to the main library, the library has set up 40 branches and 14 public reading rooms in each administrative region, and two branches are under construction.

Four libraries, Songshan, Chengbei, Guting and Chengxi, were set up in Taipei City from the 19th to the 36th year of the Republic of China. In accordance with the regulations of the organization rules for municipal libraries in Taiwan Province promulgated by the provincial government in the 41st year of the Republic of China, the four libraries were merged to form "Taipei Municipal Library".

In 1967, with the restructuring of Taipei City and the comprehensive development of urban construction, our library gained a lot of help and greatly improved its business. In 1978, under the promotion of the cultural construction plan of the Taipei municipal government, our library entered a new milestone. Especially after the new general library was completed and opened in 1990, it has launched a new era of Library and information services for the citizens of Taipei. In addition to the main library, the library has set up 40 branches and 14 public reading rooms in each administrative region, and two branches are under construction.
