Bilang Lake

One kilometer south of Huzhou City, it belongs to Dongtiaoxi. In front of Guanshan, also known as xianshanyang, a jade lake, opposite to Chen Yingshi's mausoleum. It is one of the important scenic spots in the south of the city. Bilang lake has a broad surface and a small island in the lake. It is called Fuyu mountain. When the lake is full, the top of the mountain is often exposed like a floating jade, so it is named. In 1522-1566, a Jade Pagoda (also known as Furong pagoda and wankui pagoda) was widely built in Fuyin mountain. The pagoda is seven stories high and has a brick body with Kuixing engraved on each floor. It was destroyed when the lake was reclaimed in 1971.

After the beginning of winter every year, a large number of migratory birds come here to overwinter. By the end of December, the number of wintering migratory birds reaches tens of thousands. In March of the next year, the wintering migratory birds gradually fly away.

Thousands of migratory birds have attracted many birdwatchers and photographers. On weekends, many people go fishing, boating, and even take bird photos. The best time of day for bird watching is in the early morning and evening. Most birds are more active 2 hours after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset, with frequent foraging and homing activities. People who want to watch birds can bring telescopes, SLR cameras and other tools to choose the right weather. There is a farmhouse by Bilang lake. You can taste Meibai vermicelli, local chicken, Douhua, seasonal vegetables and other farmhouse dishes.

Bilang Lake scenic spot is about 40 kilometers away from Yibin City and 17 kilometers away from Changning County. Starting from the South Bank of Yibin City or Changning County, follow Yichang road to the exit of Muping Town, then follow the tourist highway to Meibai Township via Zhou Hongmo's hometown, and turn left at the first intersection (New Street) of meibaichang town for about 5 km to reach the whole asphalt road / cement road.
