At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, there were more than 30 large and small gardens in Fangcun Huadi, especially eight famous gardens such as zuiguan garden and Liufang garden. Among them, zuiguan Garden (owner Liang Chiquan) covers an area of nearly 1 hectare. It is located on the side of Shancun bridge, Fangcun Avenue, Guangzhou. It is close to Huadi river. It is full of trees and has a beautiful environment. The peonies planted in the garden are deeply loved by the officials and dignitaries at that time. The garden is well decorated and has the largest scale. After the Japanese army occupied Guangzhou, the gardens were destroyed. In the 1950s after the founding of the people's Republic of China, zuiguan garden and Liufang garden merged into zuiguan garden.

In the early 1960s, Guangzhou municipal government planned to build Huadi park on the basis of zuiguan garden, and then stopped construction. In October 1983, the municipal government decided to rebuild the park and named it zuiguan park. In 1984, the Spring Festival Park was completed. Since October 1994, the municipal and district governments have begun to transform the park, expanding the park area, clarifying the functional zoning of the park, increasing scenic spots and improving facilities, with an investment of nearly 10 million yuan. After transformation, great changes have taken place in the appearance and landscape of the park. At present, the total area of the park is 36000 square meters, including 2 small artificial lakes of 3500 square meters, green space of nearly 25000 square meters and garden building area of 1030 square meters. The whole garden is composed of Mingmu garden, flower garden, basin garden and children's recreation area. There are ornamental fish and domestic fish in the artificial lake for tourists to watch or fish. The flowers and trees planted mainly include yutangchun, lotus, Magnolia, brandy, human heart fruit, mango and other flowers and trees with Lingnan characteristics. Zuiguan park is gradually becoming a comprehensive park with "petite and exquisite, certain characteristics".

Mingmuyuan rest corridor
