Youth Lake Park

Before liberation, the Youth Lake Park used to be a pool of water. In 1958, Dongcheng District government and Youth League Committee mobilized the youth of the whole area to do voluntary labor. They excavated the pits into a lake and planted trees on the bank, so it was called "Youth Lake". There are children's paradise in the south, sculpture garden in the west, recreation palace in the East and Yiyuan scenic spot in the north.

Beijing Youth Lake Park is located in the west of andingmenwai street, Dongcheng District, Beijing. It used to be a big water pit. It was excavated into a lake in 1958, built roads and built pavilions and bridges in 1960. It gradually formed a modern park with an area of 169800 square meters, a water area of 63800 square meters and 16000 trees. The garden not only has the natural beauty of plant community, but also has the garden art of flower carving and plant modeling, showing the gardening style of Youth Lake. It is one of the first batch of standard parks in Beijing.

About the park

Drama sculpture garden

The South Gate of the park is the Youth Lake drama Centennial forest, two commemorative sculptures named "prelude" and "drama life" and the surrounding landscape. Its completion not only provides a place for leisure and sightseeing for the majority of tourists, but also builds a platform for them to communicate with "drama" and spread drama knowledge, adding a beautiful scenery to the Youth Lake Park.

Water world

The water world of Youth Lake Park started construction in June 1992 and was completed in May 1993, covering an area of 7000 square meters. The construction project has a large swimming pool and a small swimming pool, and is equipped with water treatment system, dressing room, clothing store, medical room and other ancillary facilities. It has a 7500 type 4-way water slide and a double dragon slide. Water saving and environmental protection water treatment equipment makes the water in the pool be purified once every 2 hours. The water world of Youth Lake Park has gone through three times of construction and transformation. Now the water area is about 3000 square meters. There are open-air swimming pools and play pools of different sizes. In 2007, aquatic world was awarded as the municipal excellent service team. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, it won the title of "advanced unit of reducing drowning in Beijing swimming places" for three consecutive years. At night, the colorful neon lights and the reflection in the water create another beautiful scenery of the Youth Lake. Several fishing fans on the shore are staring at the lake. Dock

The cruise terminal is located on the southwest Bank of the park lake, integrating with the water world. In order to make it convenient for tourists to get on and off the ship, two floating bridges have been installed at the new dock. There are 14 new battery boats (including 10 for 4 people and 4 for 6 people), 2 ambulance boats, 31 duck pedal boats, 6 rowing boats and 2 master boats. There are 55 pleasure boats in total. They are really rich in variety and unique in shape. The park is committed to the lake water reconstruction work, established the reclaimed water recycling treatment station, cleaned up the lake fishing area, and the treated lake water is rippling and clear to the bottom.

The cruise terminal of Youth Lake Park has been in operation for 27 years since 1980. The park always puts the safety of tourists in the first place. Every year, it formulates safety emergency plans and conducts field exercises. The park is also equipped with full-time rescue boats and rescue personnel to ensure that the rescue boats arrive at the scene within 60 seconds to ensure the safety of tourists.

Golf Club

The Youth Lake Golf Club (driving range) is located in the Youth Lake Park with elegant environment and pleasant scenery on the side of North 2nd Ring Road.
