There is a historical legend about this old spring: it is said that when Li Yun, Tieguai, was traveling here, he saw the ups and downs of the peaks and the flow of the green shade. He stopped to have a rest on the baohulu with Qiongjiang Yuye on his head pillow. When he woke up, he wandered away. Who wanted to seep a drop of Qiongjiang Yuye from the baohulu and turn it into a clear and sweet spring. The spring is gushing all the year round. The water of Tianquan in Sanyu is frozen to the bone. After a drink, you will feel that the summer heat is completely gone. The mist around Tianquan in Sanjiu is twining, and the warm moisture flows to your face, moistening your skin.

For hundreds of years, the villagers of laoquankou have been drinking the old spring water from generation to generation. The spring water is made of natural mineral water, such as Qiongjiang and Saiyu. Drinking this water often can wake up the mind, clear the eyes, soothe the intestines, moisten the muscles, beautify the skin, and prolong life. There are many old people in laoquankou village who live a long life. Laoquan village is close to Yaji mountain, the 1000th year old temple in Jingdong, and faces Bixia Yuanjun Temple across the mountain.
