Liuhe Tingtao (Liuhe tower)

Liuhe tower is located on the moon wheel peak on the North Bank of Qiantang River in Hangzhou. The Liuhe pagoda has nine floors and is more than 50 feet high. It is towering and protruding, overlooking Qiantang from the land. Here, visitors can enjoy both the majestic appearance of the ancient pagoda and the scenery of the Qiantang River. Therefore, there are many literati in the past dynasties who wrote poems and chanted: "the isolated pagoda is flying in the sky, and the sky is full of wind. The scenery of Liuhe tower and Qiantang River is truly depicted.

Li Kuo, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, once said: "the sound of a hundred thousand soldiers is like a tide in the middle of the night". On the Liuhe tower, where "the peaks can be picked up", listening to the waves requires more concentration than watching the tide. It's easier to inspire reverie, comprehend and appreciate thousands of images. Therefore, it is called "Liuhe Tingtao", which is the second of "three comments on the ten sceneries of the West Lake".
