Tujia old courtyard

It was built in the early years of Yongzheng Dynasty in the Qing Dynasty, 300 years ago. Its architectural style is four courtyard sealed fire wall Tujia architecture, integrating Tujia garden and Tujia stilted building. There are more than 30 existing houses with an area of 3500 square meters, which are typical Tujia dwellings. The most amazing thing is that in order to increase the indoor lighting, the craftsman opened a covered bucket skylight on the ceiling, making the natural light flow like a waterfall. This kind of skylight is not found in Han nationality houses.

In July 1940, Changsha duizei middle school moved to the west to avoid the war. Zhu Rongji, former premier of the State Council, had an unforgettable relationship with laoyuanzi. Because of the unique Tujia style of the building, the old courtyard has become one of the shooting sites of the TV series bloody Xiangxi.

Tujia old courtyard is located in pengjiaxiang section of Yongding Avenue and east end of yuanwan bridge in Zhangjiajie City. It was built in the early years of Yongzheng Dynasty of Qing Dynasty. It is a typical fire wall courtyard style building. It is one of the five big troughs of Tian clan, a famous family in Western Hunan. It has 31 large and small rooms. It has deep courtyard, strict layout and interior furnishings. It does not change the old appearance. Most of its treasures are rare . It is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province.

History of development

Tian Chengman, the forefather of Tian family in Tujia old courtyard, lived in the top class in the Northern Song Dynasty. He once took the title of Tong Fu to control the scholars in Western Hunan. From the Northern Song Dynasty to the early Yuan and Ming Dynasties, Tian Chengman inherited Tong Fu and ER pin Jingbian officials for seven generations, followed by six generations of San pin Du Tong marshal and Tu chieftain Taishi. Tian's forefather created "Bauhinia academy" and opened "White Deer martial arts school" to spread Confucian culture and promote ghost Valley God Gong, after three dynasties, formed a real cultural and educational center on the border of Hunan, Hubei and Chongqing in history.

Contributions

The ancient leaders of Tujia old courtyard strictly followed the ancestral precept of "leaving poems and books behind and passing on filial piety". They regarded Confucianism as the classic, regarded "advocating culture, valuing education and carrying on morality" as the family management concept, followed the family tradition and inherited family morality, and formed a sustainable talent group. The old courtyard lasted for six generations from Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. There were hundreds of men and 43 people who gained fame. Among them, 13 were civil and military scholars, one was Juren, nine were academicians of Hanlin Academy (equivalent to academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences), two were Sipin officials, ten were officials below Sipin, four were women's relatives, four were Zhonghuang fenggong, and two were Northern Expedition generals He is a well-known scholar in the world of health. Tian Qijun, one of the last generations of laoyuanzi, was a famous geologist in New China and one of the first members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He presided over the work of the National Mineral Resources Commission for a long time. Zhu Rongji, former premier of the State Council, studied in laoyuanzi with Changsha duize middle school, which moved westward to avoid chaos during the Anti Japanese war.
