Under the sunlight at sunset, the colors of the rocks are mainly red, with green, purple, yellow, white, black and transitional colors. Whenever the wind blows, strange noises of different lengths and heights will be heard everywhere in gullies and under rocks.

Geological origin

The colorful river bank is formed by water erosion and wind erosion. On the terrace slope, the gullies are crisscross, and the gullies and small soil beams are developed alternately. The width of the gullies is 5-10m, the height of the soil beams is generally 5-15m, the maximum height is 25m, and the distribution area is about 3km2. It is located in the arid and windy zone. Due to the different degree of weathering resistance between the rock layers on the river bank, it forms uneven outline. The rock layers are composed of red, earth red, light yellow and light green sandstone, mudstone and glutenite. The rocks are of different colors and colorful, such as colorful castles, monsters, peak clusters and other peculiar shapes. It is a typical colorful hill. When the wind blows, it makes a strange sound, which adds a mysterious color. Its development and construction will undoubtedly add flowers to Kanas Scenic Spot, with considerable passenger flow and economic benefits.
