Taohua River

Taohua river originates from the north side of Taohua peak in Huangshan Mountain. It gathers all the water of Taohua peak, passes through Taohua lake and reaches the "Longtoushi" above Bailong bridge, which is called Taohua river. Baiyun stream, which converges with lotus, Yunji and cinnabar waters of Huangshan Mountain, flows into Bailong bridge after confluence with "Longtoushi"; it also converges with water of Renzi waterfall and goes down through hot springs, known as Tangquan stream. The stream water from the Ziyun bridge below, also known as Xiaoyao stream.

The origin of the name

Taohua stream, Baiyun stream and Tangquan stream are actually three sections of one stream. They are the main stream in the south of Huangshan Mountain. They flow through the hot spring scenic spot. Due to the large drop and many boulders in the stream, when the mountain torrent breaks out, the stream runs down and thunders day and night, which is quite spectacular. There are many waterfalls, pools and caves in the stream. The famous ones are Danjing, Yaojiu, Bailongtan and qinglongtan. The buildings, platforms, pavilions and pavilions on both sides of the Strait are scattered all over the country, with dense forests and bamboos. It is said that in ancient times, peach blossoms of thousands of trees, with bright rays and bright shadows, accumulated fat and coagulated powder, and filled with Xie Hong, hence the name.

The legend of the river

It is said that there are ten thousand peach trees along the valley under the peach blossom peak. When the flowers are in full bloom, all the mountains are red; when the flowers are withering, all the streams are red. Xia Guang Yan Ying, fat storage powder coagulation, extremely beautiful.
